The
"Norman Salvesen " launched from Sennen Cove at
1725 to assist the Newlyn fishing vessel "Sabre"
with two persons on board, broken down 5 miles south of Porthcurno.
Vessel towed to safety of Newlyn harbour; lifeboat returned
to the Cove at 2130.

4-5 slight sea.

RNLB "Norman Salvesen " |
The
"Norman Salvesen " launched from Sennen Cove at
appx 0500 this morning following reports of a red flare close
to the shore at Cot Valley. Lifeboat and St.Just Coastguard
cliff team carried out extensive search. At first light the
cliff team found a red flare canister and a lager can on the
beach at Cot Valley - so it can be assumed this was a hoax.
Lifeboat returned at 0815

The
"Norman Salvesen " launched from Sennen Cove at
appx 1530 this afternoon to assist the fishing vessel `Intuition`
- 6 persons on board - engine failure and under tow by the
fishing vessel `Still Waters`, but unable to make headway
in the deteriorating conditions.
Intuition towed to Newlyn by the lifeboat - which returned
to Sennen Cove at 2000 hrs.

wind ~ moderate sea.

from Sennen Cove at appx 1830 this evening to assist a speedboat
broken down between the Wolf Rock and the Runnelstone.
Boat with two people on board located and towed to Newlyn

The
Relief Tyne Class lifeboat "Voluntary Worker" launch
from Sennen Cove at appx 1300 this afternoon to assist the
angling boat `Lazy Bones`, four people on board, broken down
close to the Runnelstone.
Boat towed to Newlyn, lifeboat returned at 1600.

The
relief Tyne Class Voluntary Worker launched in the early afternoon
to assist the angling boat "Sarah Steven" with 5
people on board - steering failure in thick fog some 6 miles
northwest of the Cove.
Boat towed to Newlyn; lifeboat returned at 1630.
Weather calm sea, thick fog.

Class RNLB "Voluntary Worker" |
The
relief Tyne Class `Voluntary Worker` launched from the Cove
at appx 18:30 on Thursday 17th July to assist the yacht `Island
Mist`, two persons on board, being towed by the yacht `Cros-an-Wra`.
The Island Mist had become tangled in crab pot markers some
6 miles southwest of Land`s End.
The yacht was cut free and towed to Newlyn, with the `Crows-an-Wra`
making her own way also to Newlyn.
Lifeboat returned at appx 2230.

Class RNLB "Voluntary Worker" |
The
relief Tyne Class Lifeboat `Voluntary Worker` launched from
Sennen Cove at appx 0930 this morning following reports of
a capsized boat near the Wolf Rock.
Lifeboat towed the capsized and damaged boat back to the Cove,
arriving at 1300.
The boat had been in the water a long time and was encrusted
with barnacles.

- two persons on board - with rigging failure some 3 miles
west-southwest of the Longships. Yacht was assisted into Newlyn,
lifeboat returning at 0745.

Worker " and Sennen Cove ILB launched today at 1525 to
after four salvage workers become trapped on the wreck of
the "RMS Mulheim" due to fog.
The men were taken off the ship by the ILB , transferred to
the ALB and both boats returned to Sennen at 1600.
Weather : easterly 3 , mist.

"Voluntary
Worker " launched today at 1515 to assist a single-handed
racing yacht dismasted some 7 miles southeast of the Runnelstone.
Two lifeboat crew were placed aboard the yacht to help stow
the broken rigging etc.
Yacht towed to Newlyn; lifeboat returned to Sennen at 1945.

Class RNLB "Voluntary Worker" |
"Voluntary
Worker "and the "Spirit of the A.C.C." launched
today at 0500 to assist the German cargo vessel "RMS
Mulheim" , ashore between Sennen Cove and Lands End;
6 persons on board. Lands End Cliff Rescue Team and a rescue
helicopter from RNAS Culdrose
The ship`s crew were taken off by the helicopter and landed
at Sennen Cove where they were taken into the care of the
Lifeboat Station and then to the Seamans` Mission at Newlyn.
The ship is probably a constructive total loss.
Weather fine with light easterly winds and 3 - 5m swell.
