Construction Works during 2009

THIS WEEK`S PLANNED WORKS

Week Commencing 18th May

The Jack-up platform is now at Newlyn, loaded with a large crane, and awaiting a favourable weather window to move round to the Cove and be sited to work on the underwater section of the launch slipway.
Current indications (Friday 15th May) suggest that it may be next Wednesday or Thursday before this move can be made.

Work is planned to continue next week on placing the steelwork on the launch slipway.

The refurbished and upgraded winches are due to return and be installed next Wednesday.


 

The jack-up platform at Newlyn Saturday 16th May, awaiting weather finer than current southwesterly gales for a tow round to Sennen Cove.

Saturday 23rd May
The jack-up platform which will undertake the underwater works at the end of the launching slipway is brought into the Cove by the Falmouth tug MTS Vulcan.
