The Lifeboat Station is open daily from around 0830hrs - closing times around 2000 hrs
in summer ; 1700 hrs in winter . Visitors have access to a large viewing gallery overlooking
the lifeboat , which also houses the souvenir shop and generally has a video loop running.
More detailed visits , including a tour of the station and lifeboats, are available by prior
arrangement .

School And Group Visits

We are always happy to accommodate group visits , and regularly host School groups
throughout the year. The usual format is a short talk about the operation of the RNLI , and
our Station in particular, followed by a tour of the station and the lifeboats. This usually
lasts in total for abour one hour.The same system, suitably modified , is applied to visits
by any other interested groups.

Lifeboat Souvenir Shop

The souvenir shop opens from Easter to September each year. Opening hours vary depending
on the availability of volunteer staff and, to some extent, the weather. Generally , the shop opens
at 11am , and closes at around 4.30 pm.
Sundays ; Monday afternoons , Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays are general opening days - the
shop is not open on Saturdays. If you intend travelling any distance to visit the shop , please
