Latest news from the World Pilot Gig Championships on the Isles of Scilly. Graham Nicholas coxed his ladies B crew to 3rd position out of all the B crews in the championships on Sunday afternoon. With his wife Sarah Nicholas in the bow it was a good day for the Nicholas family. Tim Nicholas (Graham's brother) coxed his ladies A crew to 4th position which is a fantastic result again. Rowing in The men's A crew Tim got to 10th position, very good for a "nearly veteran". Graham was rowing and coxing the men's D crew. With only one training session under their belt they were looking to not come last! Amazingly with a regime of 14 pints of Guinness a night in the Mermaid they managed to finish in a very respectical position, much to everyone else's wonder. Mark Francis from Sennen School was rowing in the mens C crew that were unfortunately beaten by the hard drinking D crew! Something they want to forget!

Another great result for these rowers form Sennen. They were all feeling a little poorly on the Monday after the celebrating but very glad they had made their annual trip to St. Mary's for this wonderful sporting event.
